Default Scratch on horn cover?

I got a scratch on the horn cover. So I went to the dealership and asked if I cover buy a new cover to replace the scratched one. Well I was getting some TSB work done on the car, so I left it with the service advisor. When I called him up the next day, he told me that he wouldn't think that I would want to replace it once he told me the price. So I asked and he said that would be around $800 because it came with the airbag as 1 unit.

Has anyone else scratched the cover as well? If so what did you do to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

ya how big is the scratch is it right in the middle. I just seen a carbon fiber (real) Nismo horn button. maybe this can cover it. So you do'nt have to spend $800 or lose more sleep.

The scratch isn't too big. It's just on the lower right portion of the cover. I'll try posting pictures tomorrow. I don't know how well it would show up though.

I found a guy, by contacting the Nissan dealer, that repairs vinyl/leather/cloth etc., for the interior of cars. My wife had a small scratch on the wheel/airbag cover (about an inch in length). He came over to the house, filled it in...did a little bit of paint spraying (don't worry he covered the dash, etc.) and the scratch was gone! Looks great. Keep looking and asking...I wasn't about to pay $650 for a new steering wheel cover either.
