Broken Wiper Res
Something on the highway seems to have killed a tire and cracked/broke the res for the windshield wiper fluid. I have that great light on the dash smiling at me all the time and when I try to fill it back up, a nice puddle forms. Anyone know where i can get a replacement? just looking at it, it seems you have to take the front clip off to get to it, can anyone provide some extra details or let me know what i should look out for?
thanks!
thanks!
Same thing for me. I just had the dealer fix it. It was $120 for the part and 1.5 hours for labor equaled $140!! I complained to the dealer and they said it was not covered under warranty. I called Nissan customer service and their district service manager and she was nicer than the service at Hilltop Nissan (East Hanover, NJ) but still no dice. I didn't even want FREE REPAIRS, meeting me halfway would be nice. Anyways, I don't think I will be recomending my mom to that dealer to buy their new car there.
The service told me nothing could have cracked/broke the resevior for the winshield washer fluid because of the plastic splash guard lining. He told me there was water and it froze (cold NJ winter 15-20 degrees) causing the split...but I never opened the hood since the car was purchased 6/2004 and 11000 miles later so it was the dealers fluid that caused this I feel. They say it was an environmental factor which is why its not under warranty...well, wonder how it happened in hot, sunny Atlanta. Old thread, sorry- just looked at the date 7/2004...haha, peace all!!
