Default Interior floor over heating!!!

I've just purchased a 350 a couple of weeks ago, and I've just noticed the area to the sides of the gear box, mainly on the driver side, towards the floor gets quite hot?? Has anyone experienced this problem? Sometimes if feels like damn sauna!!!

The heat is normal. The cats get very hot and the heat rises into the floor near the gearbox. I had a 1990 300ZX and it did the same thing. Stop feeling the floor and you'll be fine.

thanks for the info, I spoke with a couple other z owners and they said its normal as well. The heat from the bottom vents doesn't help either!
