Default Electronics Problems

has anyone ever had this happen to them or is it just me? it seems like every time my car gets wet either from rain or washing, something happens to the electrical circuitry in the car.

the first time this happened was due to rain and the rear wiper wouldnt shut off. it just kept wiping away even though the car was off, no key in the ignition and locked. at the same time, the headlights wouldnt turn on, the signal wouldnt work, and the windows wouldnt work. i disconnected the battery and let is sit over night. once the car dried out over night, everything was back to normal.

yesterday it happened again after i got done washing my car. this time my rear defrost kept turning on and off by itself which was spooky. to top it off, signal wasnt working, and the headlights and dash lights would not shut off untill i disconnected the battery. again, i let everything sit and dry out over night and its all fine this morning.

i dont open the hood to wash my car and so i dont know what is causing it. i have one speculation. i have the EVO-R side marker LED's hooked up and they are running off of the headlights. does anything think that when those are getting wet that they are causing a short somewhere or maybe they were not properly installed? the only constant in this whole thing is problems with the headlights, dash lights and rear wiper/defrost.

i dont wanna get in there and start tearing things up until i have some sort of clue as to what i need to look for.

any help would be appreciated.
