Cool LeMans Sunset in Arizona

Shot this a few days ago while breaking her in around Arizona. This is overlooking the backdrop to the Salt River Canyon on the way to northern Arizona. The color of the LeMans is spot on in this photograph thanks to the brilliant Arizona sunlight and a good digital camera. (Oly E-10)
BTW, that is 20% tint, tho AZ calls for 35%. Regards, Jim N'AZ.
PS, I could not stand to park the Z for the winter, as some of you must do, but than again, I don't really know what winter is anymore either! Okay, gloating done for now.

Thx, Victor. I have not yet made up my mind if it is the color or the bodystyle that makes this car an absolute showstopper! I have taken to turning up the Bose (sometimes painful) and keeping my newly tinted windows tightly shut at every stop light!! I mean, enuf is enuf aready! I know you know what I mean! Regards, Jim

Rahtok, Hi-res as in sending you the file? No problem, but it is a BIG file at 10.7 megs! What size would work for you? And are you on hi speed (dsl, cable, etc.)? Regards, Jim

Yup, DSL it is. Something on the verge of 1024x768 or 1280x1024 would be great. It truly is a great shot!

If you don't want to link them in this thread, go ahead and send it via email to rahtok@clanmclean.net

Thanks!

W*O*W

That's the kind of shot that makes me want the LeMans Sunset. Other times it looks like a dull pumpkin color

Default Another Le Mans shot

Thanks for the kind words on my earlier pic of my Sunset out here in AZ. Yes, you are correct in that the Sunset changes attributes according to the existing light playing on it. Here is another shot taken last week while in Northern Arizona on an extended "cruise" around Arizona!
Regards, Jim

Hmmmm, sounds like a bit of envy there, friend! I, too am a professional photographer and I can assure you that the pic posted is NOT photoshopped. In fact, I would be happy to send you the fullsize file and let you pick it apart if you like, but you will find no "cut and paste" in my photograph, period.
Perhaps you are not familiar with selective dof and the extremely hard light we work with out here in Arizona?
To come on here and cast aspersions on another's work and then post your own almost as a rebuttal is offensive to me. I would never come on here and make that kind of accusation to a fellow Z owner. If anything, I would at least pm him/her first and ask, but what was your purpose? BTW, I assume you know that the photo that you are questioning its originality is rezzed down from an 11.0 meg file to around 196KB to ease dnloading by others! Ever hear of artifacts being induced when you downsize to that degree?
Oh well, enough of this, I am going back to more positive output re: the Z and how to best capture it photograpically. Regards, Jim

Default Boricua

BTW, I see that you are also in Arizona. I would be happy to take you up to the Dells (outside Prescott) and show you the exact place and position in which I shot that photo. I don't mind sharing with other photographers, but I won't make any accusations on a public forum about anothers work without knowing what I am talking about either. I think you owe an apology on this one. Regards, Jim

Shrinking an image from it's original size will not produce a perfect image in most cases.

Default Apology accepted

Thanks for your response. I appreciate knowing that it (percieved sniping) was unintentional and not meant to offend. Your original post troubled me because I am very (inordinately!) proud of the Z and I try to shoot it as often as I can in equally beautiful surroundings and this one (scene) clicked for me. Secondly, I was a bit tired when I read your query and hit the angst button a bit too soon perhaps too.
All is well and it is Porsche dust over the dam!
Hope to meet up w/you one day and compare "Z notes"! Regards, Jim

Default AZ pix of Le Mans Sunset

Thanks for your kind words on the shot, but the Z and the AZ sun get most of the credit here! I have some more and I will post a bit later for your perusal. Regards, Jim
