Hmmm turn off the flash and open up the shutter a little longer if your camera is capable. I like it though. Hopefully you can do it again.

I tried shots with and without the flash, but the flash brought out some nice highlights. This shot was 6 secs long at f7 using a Canon G2

Top image:
Although your proably not a photographer and have lots of photo equipment the light is too harsh on the front and you overexposed the doors and thier is no more color. I would of gotten a light and reflected it off an umbrella so its diffused and no hot spots occur.

Bottom image:
Its a little low so at a quick glance it looks like its a toy Z. Plus is thier a car behind it? You have a lot of hot spots on the rear of the car.

An very easy way to reduce hot spots is to shine a light through fabric sheets (thinner sheets will require less powerful lights to achevie same results)

Other than they they look nice, I would of shot it with the Z at a angle.. Let me dig up some of my shots...

...
True, I'm not a photographer. I just have my camera and tripod.
As far as overexposed... well, let's compare to a Nissan publication shot:

I think the highlights are similar in that there's no color, just white.
And I suspect it was made by a pro....

In any case, I've found that night shots are hard. I've taken a bunch, just to get one or two that I like.

here is an angle..

the hot spot in my first picture was from a car headlight, it was far but still gave this effect.
