So I got an aftermarket bumper (vertex) and the current body shop thats fixing my car quoted me 500$ to just install/paint the thing, saying that it doesnt fit at all and that they would prefer not to do it.
Anyone have fitment issues?
Anyone know of a bay area shop that can do this job cheap?

Make sure it's a real vertex kit. I've never heard of Vertex not fitting correctly. When you purchased the kit, you should have received a car make t&e badge and the bumper should have a serial number on it. If it does, then that bodyshop might be trying to make extra money by saying it doesn't fit. It's all predrilled for you as well. Something to look for!
They said that the bumper didnt come with the brackets.
I paid 430$ for the bumper and got it from intense motor sports.
If you got it from intense, then its real. But your bodyshop is trying to make extra money on you. We'll at least that's what it seems like because their is no brackets for the front bumper. It uses all the same points for fastening as the factory bumper. You even reuse some of the factory fasteners. So.......... I suggest you get another quote from a different bodyshop. Hope that helps ya!
Hehehe! It'll be an acquired look! It's still gonna be a vip style wheel on the Z. I really like that style, little bit of sport and vip. I'm going with some AME's, it'll have a 4" lip in the front even with the big brakes and 5" in the rear. Pretty aggressive offsets. 10" in the rear 0 offset.
It was pain to find out if I was able to get max lip in the front. Had to get the sweep data from Willwood on the BBK's. Then waited for AME to verify if it'll fit or not. I'm pretty excited!!! I'll post pix once the wheels get here from Japan. Should be about another month or so.
