You're not buying an Authentic Vertex Kit if it doesn't have the cut out. Beware of KNOCK OFFS! Ours come pre drilled, with cut outs, ready to rock and roll!!! You get what you pay for. But, I won't go down this road. Just saying.

I have a question with the authentic kit are the holes already drilled? just needed to sand and paint? I plan to just have it painted and I'll install it myself if this is directly bolt on. Will I be able to use the stock bolts/nuts? What about the grill will the body shop have to do this or is thing something I can do myself? Does it have screws, hooks of some sort? No modification on the kit? I plan to order the kit from Andy@Performance he is one of the vendors here in the forum. Thanks.

If you're buying from Andy then it'll be authentic and you will not have to make any modifications. All holes are predrilled and so are cut outs for trunk release if you're doing a full kit. I always recommend having a pro do the install because they have special tools to remove clips and other things. Also lining up the rear bumper can be a real biotch!

The hole is made for JDM plates but it will work with U.S plates just fine. There isn't much to do. If anything, it should bolt right in, if not, I'm sure your body shop can drill some holes or fabricate a bracket. I wouldn't really worry about this.

At least once a day around my place and in hospital's garage. It's not as bad as it looks, but granted I'm not slammed like johzp plans to do.
