Is that alpine head unit compatible with the ipod. im looking for a headunit to allow an ipod integration. Suppose i could search the spec sheets on the net but i figured id ask on here.

Yep, but it may be hard to find an IVA-D300. They replaced it with the IVA-D310. It's almost the same thing but it's I-POD integration is much better if that's what you're looking for.
