beautiful bike. can't remember for the life of me where i read this, but i remember reading that the bikes readline is actually 16,000rpm and that yamaha was buying bikes back or something. i'm going to try and find that article. either way it is still an amazing bike and might as well be considered a full out track bike.

you're right. It's on the Yamaha website as well. People first bought the bike, dynoed it, and realized the tach on the new R6 is inflated by 9%. Doesn't change the poweband tho, so doesn't really matter to me.

*edit* woops just saw your reply. yea like you say the lower redline doesn't change the fact that the bike is still incredibly badass.

Default track

ive got an R6 that I ride at Pocono Raceway and let me tell you:

you gotta take that thing to the track. nothing like redlining that thing all day long with no fear of cops, old ladies in chevy's or of hitting a deer.

get your **** to Infineon Raceway or Laguna Seca.

You'll never want to ride on the street again...

thanx guys. I'm still in the process of breaking her in...only got approx 120 miles on her so far since a week ago when I took it off the lot. After I break her in, I'll be sure to take it to the track often. I love tracking bikes.

I hate you Alex. I absolutely, frickin HATE you.

I debated for months between going TT or a Raven R6 (not copying you here, I love the 06 design).

I went TT and thought I was gonna be happy.

Now both you and my suitemate have bikes.

IS THIS IT THEN? NOW I NEED TO PUT A FREAKINGN BIKE ON MY LIST OF THINGS TO GET.

You officially suck . . . . . :P

Man, black z's, black bikes, you've got great taste. I couldn't ever bring myself to ride a bike or drive a car that had color to it. I settled for silverstone Z(don't get me wrong I don't dislike it) and have been wanting black one ever since.
