seems the Z has become a total expression...........I like anything that personalizes the Z.............nice variety..........thinking of a plow for mine if we get anymore dam snow!

 

You know what? I usually hate stripes and crap on cars, even pin-striping. But this looks ok. I think the understated gray is what makes the difference. I don't think its that bad at all...

 

Not my cup of tea to be honest. I think our Z's have more than enough natural appeal to catch one's eye. So there's no need for racing stripes. I'm not saying you have bad taste because afterall you did buy a Z !

 

Don't like them, takes away from the sleek look of the car.

 

i was scared that when i clicked on the topic i would see Racing stripes down the center of the car. well at least its not that!

i would have to say the usual...if you like it...then do it.

but if i saw it out i would be like...
wow nice Z...ohhh but look at the stripe.
its like seeing a nice performance car like a supra with a Universal muffler or something cheep.

The word "rice" gets tossed around so easilly. Stripes like that were around before anyone had even heard of ricey cars. It's not all loud, or anything, I don't see anything the slightest bit RICEY about that. I think the car community should come up with a friggin defintion of "rice", I mean you can't customize jack $#!+ on a car nowadays without someone imediately jumping up and yelling rice. I'm not for big *** park bench sized wings, or windsheild washer LEDs, or 5" tips on a 4 banger NA car, but c'mon now there has to be a line drawn somewhere. I guess they should outlaw customization, and we should all drive stock cookie cutter cars so we can all be unimaginative as hell.

As for the stripes, kinda reminds me of the stripes you see on pontoon boats and RVs. Very old and passe'. Not trying to hate on your choice or anything, but you wanted honest opinions, and I would vote to take it off.

 

Your stripes look good.

Customize your car however you feel like, and don't let others tell you what they think is "rice", or whatever.

It's all about self-confidence. I could put a pile of dog **** on top of my Z and make it look good =)

 

i totally agree. its like the second you do something to your car..its riced out now. even thought the parts may be hard to get items from japan and are quality parts...some people just don't know what their talking about. sometimes i think its people that just are haters because they can't do anything to their own cars.
My spyder is in fast and the furious 2...so now its rice...yet every inch of the car is hard to get items and it took a year to get it all together.

 

Your spyder is in F&F2 ? As in yours personally or one like yours ?

 

Thanks for posting the pic. I am waiting for my PPW track and had thoughts of some kind of graphics. Yours match the silver trim motif so I think you made a good choice. It may be to "loud" for me but I like to see people that want to make there car stand out a bit. Are you missing a piece on the rear panel?

 

I like it, a little overkill for an already aggressing car but at least its not fast and furious throwback....

Im considering a simple black pinstripe with smoe bit of personality in the back on my LeMans Sunset since ill already have the smoked amber lenses anyways and hoping to smoke out the tails too in the near future. Oh yea, and the smoke grey tint im getting in the spring too....

 

Maybe somebody should have gotten a black car? lol

 

Dont really like pin stripes on any car, especially the Z. Just IMO.

 

Don't let anybody tell you that anything you like on your car is "rice" that is only someone opinion. As far as pinstripes go those are some of the nicer ones I've seen. So I say make the decision that appeals to you.
