Ok, I just found out the cam has a noise reduction setting, I turned it on, will take some pics of the car in a bit, night shots, We'll see what they look like. That sunset pic, I had it off, that's why it's noisy.... lol

Mike, go to your local Walmart and pick up a Tripod. They have some one's for under $20. For night shots, the key is to use a tripod, turn off the flash, and set the timer. Just make sure you have good lighting like a parking garage or street lights, just not the amber colored street lights.

Those $20 tripods won't hold the weight of an SLR... probably ~ 3 lbs for the body, lens & battery.

Actually you would be suprised. It's not about how much the tripod costs. I got one for $20 there that's fully adjustable, and has a leveler. I've used it with my Digital Rebel for a year now and never had any problems.

Do a little studying and you should be taking awesome quality shots in no time. There are some guys on this forum who are awesome digital photographers that can answer questions too.

One time right off the bat - don't expect to get good night shots [of the car] with the flash. You need a nice tripod, remote shutter release, and some understanding of aperature/shutter speed/iso to get the really good ones. Good luck!
