on another note, it does look cool though, just better to keep it off of public roads....

Can't tell is that a 600, 750 or 1g. If it is a 600 do you bounce it or clutch it.
Also be careful and wear your armor.

What makes you think you can't power up a 600??? I can power wheelie my 2000 R6 in first or second gear, it isn't until third that I have to bounce or clutch it. -1, +2 on the sprockets doesn't hurt either :P

2nd gear standups FTW....

Bri,

Their is no doubt in my mind that you can power a 600 up. I just can't do them in 2nd on my f4i. I can power wheelie in first all day, but the bike comes up way to fast sometimes, depending my speed.

With a re-gear, PC and a pipe you should be able to power up an F4i in second. Is your bike stock?

re-gear that bish....that's when a 600 really comes alive. My re-gear is my second favorite mod after my scotts damper.

Nice bike man, I got an 04 gsxr-750 and they are a lot of fun. It's finally getting into our riding season here. It's so damn hot here to be able to ride in the months of June/July/August. Even though it's still low 100's and upper 90's it feels so much cooler than 115+. It's funny how our riding season is opposite everyone else. We ride winters and you ride summers, although we can ride summers if we want, it just burns your nutz.

I like the wheelies, you should try putting your left foot on your rear peg, it makes it so much easier to do standups and you dont fatigue as fast so you can hold it out for miles or until the road ends, whichever comes first. And you will have a much better feel for control It's scary at first but give it a try, you will love it better than your feet on the pegs.

I got an 05 GSX-R 1000, tried the 600's but like the 1k better. That power is addictive. Have full header back titanium yoshimura exhaust and Power Commander. Easily comes up 1-4.

matrix,

I heard when trying to put your left foot on the passenger peg, the bike comes up funny (awkward). Is this true. Maybe I'll try that. What do you guys prefer clutch or power wheelie.

I keep my feet on the pegs, instead of moving them. Sometimes putting your foot on the back peg does make the bike shift a lil, just gotta watch how much pressure you put on it. I also like powering it up verses clutching, less room for error atleast for me.

Better is all relative. I track my R6 and on a roadcourse it's more fun and easier to ride a 600 fast on a racetrack. I pass liter bikes easily on most courses unless they have some huge staightaways. Coming out of most corners I can literally rail on the throttle and I don't have to worry about my rear end stepping out...not the case with a liter bike. Some guys I race with actually switched from liter bikes to 600s for the track.

On the street liter bikes can be a lot of fun...

yeah 600's are quick on the track definitely. I ride on the street only, no tracks close by. Love how the power is always on tap with the liter bikes.
