The more I look at those, the more I cannot stop but like the look. Props on doing something other than the black or body color lights most people go with! Very, very, nice indeed. You have a beautiful Z. And Dan's work, of course, is top notch as usual.

I am strongly contemplating this mod. My only question is whether you feel a difference in the HIDs' performance. Being true projectors, of course it must be almost the same, but is there a discernable difference now that the HID chrome reflector is painted? Have you felt a change in intensity? Cut off? I may leave that little piece as is, if so.

Also, I'd like to see some day time pics if possible.

No difference in light output since the 06 HIDs are true projectors so you can pretty much color everything. The only difference that may have slightly reduced is the turn signal portion but IMO it's plenty bright even during the day.

The Z has been sleeping these past few months but I'll try to take more pics later once I finally get the time to repaint/install my eyelids. I'm focused on other things at the moment so this is on the back burner.

Sick car.

Do you guys just order the 06 headlights from Nissan? I just got a price for 600 per lamp, is this fair? Also what other hardware do I need to order for the conversion. Thanks.

that is a fair price, and you need nothing, the headlights are direct plug and play.

Can someone please send me some some before and after (&during) Hi Res pics? My car is in the shop and they smashed one of my blacked out 03 headlights so its time for an upgrade, but the painter needs to see pictures.
THANKS!

Anything else he should know about the whole process? I couldn't find and 06 DIY yet and I havn't had a chance to see the lights up close and in person(My cars in NJ, I'm in MD)

beautiful pictures, you really know what you are doing with a camera. And may I ask, what exhaust are you running? Its a very clean non intrusive look in the back end.

I'm running the Fujitsubo Legalis-R exhaust. Did a lot of research at the time when I was planning on getting this kit & I found it was the only one that fit perfectly.

Really?

This was the ONLY thing holding me back (besides deciding on color).

Is cutting this filament legal (does it alter the function of the light?), AND, is this something that MrZipps can handle himself? I want to just buy a new set of headlights and have them sent right to MrZipps so he can do his magic and them ship them to me.
