thanks mang! i attribute the nice look to the lighting and camera settings. i've got a 3 yr old sony cybershot dsc-p10: no flash, experimented with different exposures until i finally found the right one, and used a tripod w/ the 10 second delay to make sure i wouldn't disturb the camera while it was using a longer exposure time.

as for wax, i haven't touched zaino in over a year. i love eagle1 wax as u dry cause it covers up swirls so well. i just buffed out most of the swirls though...maybe i should go take some more pics.

different exposures eh.. looks like i have to get back out there and do it up.. so im assuming you do the highest quality/highest res shots, just mess with exposure.. hmm.. i know what i'm doing this weekend!!

 

yep, that resolution i shot at was 5.0 but even using 4.1 or 3.2 never made much of a difference for me, it was lighting (including exposure) and stillness of the camera. might be annoying for a while, but you'll have fun, i promise. i took like 25-30 shots before i was satisfied with the lighting.
