barely worth showing
so after a few months of having the bumper and doing all the work myself in regards to cutting, molding, and shaving the bumper and fenders I finally feel it's worth posting up. This is the Nismo V.2 replica bumper from punksterz626. The first try at paint came out mismatched as you can tell by the pics, so I went back and had the fenders and bumper redone and also decided to paint the sideskirts, shave the engine cover, and paint that body color as well. Some time down the road I am going to shoot the car in Winnebago grey, which is almost identical to silverstone grey, exept it has huge reflective flake throughout.
Before the repaint:
Notice the fender emblems no longer exist.

And after:

and of course what the bumper looked like before i started on it:

Guys, not all bodyshops know hot to match silvers, lol, they suck, I have matched mine better than the bodyshops have, it sucks, but yeah man, you should have them redo it, if you guys look, his sideskirts are OEM, and they are also off, why because nissan paints all front, rear, and sides off the car before assembly, also because they are ABS plastic, and paint sorta looks different off plastic. Just my opinion. The additive they give the paint for flexibility on the bumpers also drops some brightness on the color, which makes it lighter.

Looks great. Like how you painted the center bar. After your "shaving" carnards would detract from the look it appears you are trying to achieve, looks great as it is.
As others have said, it's rare to see even a stock paintjob that has all the parts match up, for the reasons stated. However, the bumper does look quite a bit off.
Would look good to IMO if you painted the tow hook hole flat black.

well, after looking at the pics, i went up to my paint guy to show him and he agreed some sort of respray needs to take place. as far as the stock body pieces not matching, you guys should see the gas door...it looks like it was taken off a frickin different car all together. my paint guy said he will probably re-shoot the front bumper, fenders and even do the sideskirts for me using DuPont paint instead of the Spieze stuff I brought to him the first time, since he's more comfortable sparaying out DuPont. We shall see. I'll post up finished pics when everything gets redone, but here's some more mismatched paint pics to hold you over, oh...and as far as painting the tow hook black, i think the black grill mesh will hide it nicely:
