Default 350z and R1 racing in NC

Hey guys, I wanted to share some pictures I took of the fun my friend and I had on some mountain roads last weekend in Saluda,NC. I took the pictures with my Cannon Rebel XT and we used his Sony High Def camera to shoot video but I still need to get the clips from him. The videos are real short clips of each of us but I still hope to post them shortly. Well, let me know what you think

Do you realize that the photos are 400 x 200 pixels?

But what if someone like myself is having some fun on a road that was thought to be empty and said person comes whipping around that corner and there is Leman'sSunset03 all up in said person's personal space, that will get ugly fast.

It seems like there is space, but i just hope he had a good view of traffic that is coming his way.

Cool pics, by the way...post some high res ones.

Cheers

Jeez..easy felllow its hard to judge the scene if you weren't there. The angle that this was shot makes it look much more menacing than it really is. There are two wide lanes to the left of me and a good view around the corner which gives ample time to move over if any traffic is coming. This place is a very popular place in NC and has a wide assortment modified bikes and cars on it every weekend. We had a blast but we were also very careful. We have both driven on this road for about 7 years now so every curve and dip is pretty familiar by now. I"ll post up a couple high res shots today, thanks for checking it out

Looks like the Dragon/Gap. Where is Saluda, close to TN border? If you were crossing lines at the dragon, i suggest not doing that anymore. Not only will you kill someone, you might get your *** beat for it. Roads are not race tracks. Crossing yellows is not a situational judgement. Its a never. It doesnt matter if jesus was your passenger telling you the turn was clear, you practice how you play. Nice shots though.

i agree you are clearly over on the otherside..

regardless that you've been driving this road for seven plus years....you could have killed someone.......

i'm glad i don't live around that area.....

Enjoy the pictures, relate to his pride in his toys, and have some fun. no need to ridcule everything.

I think the pics are great...little envious i wasn't there on either side of the yellow line to enjoy it too!!!

it most certainly is a big deal, it isnt a closed course, it is a PUBLIC roadway....as was stated earlier if that happened at the gap a beat down would probably insue... yes i am a bit touchy on the subject, after almost being a hood orniment from some wacko in a civic at the Gap...nothing like cruising a blind corner and see a fool in your lane 50 ft ahead......

yes the pictures were cool and i am a bit envious as well. the guy on the motorcycle sure can ride! and you are lucky to live in an area with great turns and scenery like that....

Once again no bid deal. Wish I had nothing better to do then ridicule people. I am sure every basher on here has done NOTHING at all in their lives that other people thought wasn't a good idea. Therefor that gives them all the right in the world to complain about others. What happened to just saying "nice pics".... everyone looks for the negative.

I think i have MMS (Male PMS) and just feel like sticking up for him or something. Its kinda like this Kramer crap that is going on. For the love of god NOBODY cares, drop it already. We have all done/said stupid crap, let it be over.

BTW....is this up by Lovers Leap????

im sure he had a clear view of the other lane from where he was...like he said the view from where we see it is menacing...if you look close enough there is no solid object on the left side obstructing the view...looks just like tree tops

He said he had a clear view and he's pretty much right on the line with just 1 tire. If someone can't avoid hitting him head on, in my opinion, they are just as much at fault. There is plenty of room there. I'm not justifying crossing the double yellow but he isn't really in the other lane. He's just on the line. I see people do that all the time. I just swerve over and let them have the line.
