I hate to say this because it's been said many times...if you are running factory pads you need to get rid of them or be prepare to wash your wheels every 2 days.

Do you REALLY want to know??? How much time are you prepared to spend?

What I do every 2 months or so is jack the car up and rip each wheel off one at a time and clean them thoroughly. Get all the crap out of the inside that gets caked in there. Tons of wheel cleaner on the INSIDE ONLY and use a scrub brush. You can use some cleaner on the outside but I would just just it to break up some of the dirt and then wash it down with soap and water. When you've gotten all the crap and specks out you can with the brush (on the inside only. different finish) switch to finger nails to get the remaining stuff out the best you can.

It is now that I usually clean up the calipers and wax them as well. Also throw a coat or 2 of wax on the each wheel (inside and out) to help protect against dirt/dust build up. Makes cleaning the wheels much easier the next few times washing your car. Crap comes off much easier. Once it fades I do it all over again. When the wheels have been really bad its taken me as longs as 2hours per. I usually break it up into 2 days for a weekend project. When you spend so much on good rims you really should take the time to keep them nice. Otherwise its just a waste. Who cares about your rims if they're filthy.

Can't go wrong with either one. I went with the GT-S because I think it's a cleaner version of the SF. It doesn't have all that junk around the inner sides.

Agreed. I've thought about switching out to the GT-S's because of those reasons but everything about the SF's have grown on me.

I realize I would miss the curves on the SF's spokes, as oppose to the edged and angular ones on the GT-S. Love both wheels equally though.

AlexBG you need to join up with the rest of the GT-S gang...don't listen to 35oZephyR...be one of us... give in to the angular curves....lol...na man you can't go wrong with either one. But I can say my GT-S wheels are a lot easier to clean than 35oZephyR SFs...

the more you think the more difficult it gets. Drove my *** crazy for half a year...no joke. But seriously best way to pull the trigger is actually seeing the wheels in person. That was what did it for me.

lol

But yeah... you totally gotta see the wheels in person to make a heart-felt choice.

I think that matte finish on the GT-S is a deal breaker.
I wouldn't mind having that finish.

i dont mind the silver sections on the edges on gold, on the grey and black they do stand out a bit too much

if i was buying the wheel again, id go GT-S for the only reason that they are a new wheel

IMO the SF is a design that's been around in the Volk line for many years. It's an oldie but goodie if you know what I mean. The GTS kicked off Volks new line of wheels. It's very popular now but who knows what people will think after the amount of time it's been on the market like the SF.
