new camera, first pics
Well I just got a Sony H2, and here are a couple of the first pics that I took tonight.
My car is filthy from rain a few days ago, but its still pretty cool with the Christmas lights. Took the night shot in manual mode with iso80, F5.0, 5sec. The white balance is a little off, I took it off some bright white Christmas lights on the porch.
Over all I'm really impressed with the camera. At first the previews on the screen where a little underwhelming, but when I got them on the computer I was
. Can't wait to get it out during the day for some nice macro shots

The full pic looks better before I re-sized it and compressed it, also that shot with the Z was literally the first pic I took with the camera

I know with film you have to make a conscious decision every time you load your camera. With digital, it's probably rarely thought about by the average person.

I believe this is good for low light conditions as well as long telephoto lenses which are not able to gather as much light as wider angle lenses.

sure there is... up the apeture (fstop) that was prob shot at like f2.8 or somewhere close to that... making it like fstop 13 or something will make the whole image in focus still keeping the macro ability.
just need more light to compensate the smaller apeture...
(think of it as squinting your eyes... when you squint you can see a bit further and your also allowing in less light...
