So i dropped my car off on thursday not a scratch on my hood even had some old dude walk the car with me. He took no damage sheet but say my hood was fine. I come back today and i looked like this
when i say my hood. These idiots at denville nissan couldnt figure out how to get my hood to close so the pressed n pressed til it closed causing these. Long story short the service manager james wagner said there is no way they did this basically said i caused it and im trying to get them to buy me a new hood. So let the lawsuit begin on monday

awww man sh*t. I told you not to go there bro regardless of whether or not its close. That place is very shady. I hope you can get that resolved without too much craziness. It always been a hassle with denville nissan. They cant get there sh*t together sorry to say. Go to Lynnes from now on man.

I also have that crack. It makes me sad but it's bound to happen if anyone besides you works on the car. They don't realize that you cannot just drop a carbon fiber hood to get it to latch.
It is a pretty common problem. It can be avoided if you are the only one to open/close the hood but that's rare. If the hood is dropped to close it it will crack, if the latch is not aligned correctly to the point you have to really press down hard to close it it will also crack. You have to gently push down evenly on the front of the hood to close it without damaging it.
i hate denville nissan. i had my car there a couple months ago and just by talking to them i could tell they are clearly all morons, especially the service manager. Don't think i'll be going back there anytime soon.
