Here is what it said next to the picture

Firefighters put out vehicle fire on the westbound service road of the Sunrise Highway near Waverly Avenue in Blue Point around 930 a.m. on February 12, 2007. The driver of the Nissan was lucky to be alive after he was reportedly cut off by another vehicle on the Sunrise Highway, which caused the vehicle to catch fire, and then landed upright. The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

That caption is poorly worded I think. So according to the text, it means the car caught on fire after being cut off by another driver. Then it landed upright. Spontaneous combustion? Or maybe when a Z gets cut off by another car, it (the car) gets really mad and bursts into flames.

But seriously, sorry for the driver and fortunately he only received minor injuries.
