ok, i'm gona definitely say go colormatch for 2 reaons:

1. while being very clean, the car in that post looks like it got beat up.
2. everybody is blacking out there lights, be different.
3. the red on red is absolutely sick!

i know i said i would give you 2 reasons but the last one is the most important. lol.

 

IMO, it will look like a raccoon... I would color match.. Find a new red vette, there housing is color matched from factory, give you rough idea of what it would look like if you did it to your Z...

Agreed, but moreso when you have a PPW with Carbon body parts. The black housing on the white, give you a JDM look (Integra Type R / EVO MR headlights).
I am not so sure white on white would look as good as black on black or colour on colour. The white might look to 'stark' if you see me.

 

Actually, now that I think of it. If the red (or any other colour) had a Carbon bonnet or other Carbon aesthetics, then the black housing wouldn't look bad at all.

BUT all in all, you can't go wrong doing the colour match, even with carbon stuff, cause if you're goin for a unique look, then it'll look great. Mind you, you'll have a couple people hating it, but at the end of the day 'a fi dem tings?'

 

example:
This ride with red housing (06 headlights) would look sick, but then again so would black housing if it had a carbon bonnet....

It's just a matter of opinion.

Can someone do a simple p-shop to this with both options?

 

I like black housings and that would look better than stock, but more people have black than colormatched. I would vote colormatch. It looks great on brightly colored cars like db and rl.

I know corvettes have colormatched headlights stock, but then again so do honda fits.

 

its hard to ps ssuch a small pic and any 03-05 headlight, itll look more like an overlay more than anything else. i mean maybe a pro ps guy could, but so far all the ps 03-05 headlights look like overlays on this forum, nothing like the real thing....06 lights thats a different story imo

 

so how bout taurrans z...he has black 03-05 housings...and his z is loved...
