I am not allowed to have an opinion? do i need to post for the masses first to get an opinion to see if it goes against the grail or not?

i made a comment.. and i stand by my comment.. again.. the car looks hot.. but the oil cooler looks like an FMIC.. it would be best to have a real FMIC in there..

to me this oil cooler is no better than the Front Mount Cold Air Intakes they sell for civics..

both have function, but they are giving the impression of something they are not..

amazing everyone flamed the living **** out of the guy who wanted to put the front mount CAI on his Z.. but for RickDogg its ok.. its fine.. lets get on Doug.. lets shoot Doug down for his OPINION..

i am not sure if you guys know the definition of Opinion

Well I guess we just have to explain the definition of rice. Front mount intake = rice. ARC is not.

oh yeah? why is that? i mean they both are functional right? they both give the impression that the car is turbo'd right? they both are shiny objects that resemble a Front Mount Intercooler right?

why is one rice? and not the other?

The intake is designed to look like an intercooler.

The oil cooler is an oil cooler and uses the same principals and design as an intercooler.

That would be like you telling me that a radiator is rice since it looks like an FMIC.

What i don't get is this whole impression thing.

Rick has been solid NA ever since, what with u that he wants to go with a turbo look?

Do you know that some cars actually have radiators almost showing behind the grille that looks like intercoolers? Are they rice? they want to go for the turbo look?

+1 I was thinking that same thing John.
Although the car looks pretty good (all of them do) That cage could and would do alot of damage if the car ever was in a reck. I personally don't see the point of putting a cage in a car that is not tracked and driven with a helmet on. In most cases the bars will hurt more than help a driver in an accident (on the street without a helmet) I have seen this first hand.
Roll cages are supose to serve a purpose, and that purpose is (IMO) not to get points at glamour shows. Not hating here, just showing some concern.

Rickdawg, looking good, but I can't recall the last time I saw or even heard of your car actually being tracked (raced). Its more like a show car now I guess instead of a "track car", to please your sponsors I supose?

Great pics and some pretty cars guys, nice work.

my point is.. the intended use of THE OWNER of the oil cooler is to make it appear as its an FMIC.. not the manufacturer of the oil cooler

The Le Mans Sunset Z belongs to Volk350Z. The cage he has is a CUSCO and the cage was not designed for safety reasons but more for chassis stiffness to enhance the handling of the car.. It definitely serves its purpose and function.

What does having an oil cooler on a car have anything to do with rice? Now you need to track a car in order to have an oil cooler?
