the new pics look nice.. but they are a tad dark and a few are a bit blurry (camera shake?)

I would suggest you invest in a tripod and longer exposure if you are going to be shooting in a low light.. Maybe some of those shots already had a tripod? You should also experiment with higher ISO settings and a lower f-stop setting to allow more light in if you are trying to hand hold in low light..

That under the bridge shot is a tough one because the car is in shadow while it's extremely bright sunlight all around.. The camera does not work like the eye... It might even be impossible... I would suggest going back there and reshooting at a different time of day.. near dusk or dawn when the light is not as intense as noontime (again I'm assuming it was near noontime from the amount of light).. you'll probably get better results..

also try to get the whole car in shots.. or the both entire cars in a shot.. cutting them off like you did makes them appear like quick snapshots and not planned photographs..<-- i assume that's what you are aiming for with a D70

good luck,

Leemik gives good suggestions. practice the things he says especially in his first point.

read ur cameras manual to learn how to adjust those settings.

another thing. If you have your camera on a tripod already, use the timer on the camera. I usually use the 2 second setting so it can eliminate all shacking possible.

Shoot in RAW or RAW+JPG, then use Nikon Capture to tweak your exposure, white balance etc etc. Working with 12bit per channel RAW is much better than 8bit per channel compressed jpg. You'll get much less noise in your pics should you need to perform post processing. As others mentioned tripod for night shots.

Check out the forums on http://www.nikonians.org to learn more about your camera and photography.
