Wow... that has to really hurt!!! Poor car!!!

The hit is quite severe, you were probably not going fast, but not slow either!

Wow. You just put in that Gruppe-M intake also...

Glad you're alright. The new Lancer/Evo and Imprezza/STi's aren't too shabby. 4 doors if you're looking for it. GT-R maybe? Or the 2008 Z is also an option with a beater for now.

Damn bro I am so sorry about your accident. I really really loved your car. I know you loved your car so much too because of the beautiful pictures you used to post here for all of us to see. I was getting few ideas for modding my Z exterior from your Z because it just looked beautiful, including the sticker too. I hope you can recover from this loss soon Whats next for you bro?

Sorry for your loss, but its just a car and that can be replaced. If ya went down the other side I guess it would be a different story. But the look of your rim was priceless I guess you had it on tight enough if parts are still connected. Hope your not cited for anything though, doesnt sound like you could have prevented much.

The cost of the safety systems in your car should never total it. They come into the $$$$ factor as a total, but they only look at body damage to total. Or at least in Texas it is this way.

Friend of mine had a car valued at 3k. Got into an accident blew all air bags in the car. Well body damage pushed it to 2k (not a bad hit, but hit the sensors just right to set them off (10-15 mph)). The safety systems pushed it another 2k. His car didn’t total even though the total bill was 4300 after it was all said and done for a car valued at 3k.

Granted weird thing I would agree, but the insurance didn’t total it due to the safety systems, the fact that the frame was fine, and 2k of body work with paint isn’t much damage to begin with.

Now I want to put a bit of laughter to it now. I think you ate your own words in a small way.

"If it's not burning, bending, or breaking, you're not pushing it hard enough"

Be safe man, hope the insurance company doesn’t fight with ya. Maybe a 07 is in your future?

cars can be replaced! Im glad your ok. Your Z was beautiful but think about it this way now you can try it again, maybe go in a different direction even though the ppw with the v2 kit was sex. Dont forget to mention to insurance about those aftermarket pieces, they WILL try to screw you, trust me. ,make sure you have a list and receipts and factor in labor as well.

Good Luck.

Sorry to hear and glad you're alright, but that is likely repairable (probably $15K though). As somebody who just went through a bad wreck, I can assure you that things will all work out in the end, just be patient...

7 accidents ... that's amazing. You must drive a couple hundred thousand miles a year at least.
