Default Lets see your aftermarket steering wheels !!!!

I know a thread like this existed somewhere down the line, but it didnt have a very good response at all. Im going to be buying a Nardi suede steering wheel and I would love to see what everyones rockin. Please post pic and list what Wheel, hub, quick realease etc etc that you are using. Also list the diameter of the wheel and any other input when it comes to steering wheels. I'll start it off by posting the wheel that I think I might order next week.

This is the black suede with red stitching.

Possibly use this with the works bell quick release ... hmmmmm

I got no pics. but I'm using WB quick release with Momo Trek. WB is great. If you use quick release though you'll want the "short" hub kit. Bought mine at Aspecproducts.

a lot of people probably don't realize the site is back up and running? Are there any aftermarket wheels that have the airbag?

How much is his steering wheel and who sells them? Do you need a special hub connector or does it mount up to stock?

I have been talking to davidf about steering wheel setups and how to relocate my cruise control buttons so I do not lose that feature.

I'll probably be looking to do something steering wheel wise in the June/July time frame (I got a few other things on my Z I need to get done before June).

Can you take pics and post them? I would really like to see the WB quick release and MOMO Trek wheel setup.

Air bag = good for street
Air bag != good for track

If you track your Z I don't think you would want an air bag deploying when you have your helmet on. Two years ago I was at the track for a Driver's Ed. event and a guy in his 60's who was driving a Porsche Boxster tracked-out too far at turn-exit and dropped a wheel, over corrected and ended up darting across the track in front of me and hit the armco. They threw the red flag and the medical crew came. I could see that his air bag deployed. They extracted him and put him on one of those wooden boards and carted him away. His Boxster was totaled. The next day for that event they said the air bag broke his neck. That is what they said anyway. Just one data point...

TimeAttkZ, do you track your Z? I would presume given your screen name.

That stinks considering you could likely reuse your stock airbag.

Wow! Its looks nice, but for 9 hung I could check a few more things off my upgrade list. I'll be going davidf's route and still have money left over to buy the TEIN EDFC controller that I need.

Yes my car is tracked and daily driven ... I know its not the smartest thing.

I dont like the jdm nissan wheel because it is 900. Id rather spend the money on a nardi suede and then somewhere else with the remainder. Plus the JDM wheel is too much like the stock wheel.

The JDM wheel, is pretty sweet, but way too pricey for me as well. I was thinking of getting an aftermarket steering wheel soon as well. Lets see some pix!

is it just me or is the stock wheel freaking huge in diameter?? I wish it was just a little bit smaller and thicker.
