Default Ever drive a V12 before?

I hadn't until my pops purchased a beater the other day.. Never realized V12's were so SMOOOOTh, and they sound like airplane engines.. When you accelerate you can't tell they're working.. It's a weird feeling lounging around 80mph at 2000RPM.

What do you mean? My old M6 01 Z28 did 75 at 1600 RPMS.
Nice auto you have pictured there.

12cyl and 6cyl are the only 2 setups(and 18, and 24) that are perfectly balanced, but only inline 6, and a double 6 for 12. not V6. but in physics they are perfectly balance not vibrating at all.

Yeah I wouldnt call that a beater at all.
I mean not all of us are rolling in it.

I remember when I first got my M6 Z28. It sits at around 2000rpm at 80mph as well.
The only thing worse is once I came across an old V12 BMW (the one with the pointed front end) and it was sitting at like 1500rpm, and we were both doing 80!
I mean at first I was hoping to get a short run with him, but his tach was so huge I couldn't help notice how incredibly low the RPMs were.
He was a no go anyway. Oh well.

Pointed front end? Are you talking about the 8 Series? If you are, then it may have been a V8 or a V12--more than likely a V8 though, as 850s are very hard to come by, especially the coveted 850csi.

Is it wrong to know about several cars? I still have the 8 because I haven't had the time to put a real ad toether and sell it. In the mean time, I drive it in the rain instead of my baby. hee hee hee.

I must say you are the coolest girl on the board Christi Definitely a real car nut! The funny thing is, you're husband isn't really into cars is he? Does he think you're crazy at times? hah

There used to be an 850csi near my parents house when I was growing up, red even *drool* Was quite a gorgeous car. I bet you can fetch a pretty penny for your 8 series, I would imagine they hold their value quite well.

Actually, hubby was the first guy I ever dated that knew more about cars than I did. That's when I knew he was a keeper! But he still thinks I'm a little crazy. He likes the straight line speed and I prefer hauling *** through a super tight corner.

And the 8 now is holding it's value quite well. I'd shoot myself if I bought one new back in 97 (not like I could have afforded it though--85k for the 840ci). Just like any car, the first couple years are pretty harsh on a car's value, but now, since they're hard to find, I can be picky about who I sell to.

Cool, not sure where I got that about him not knowing cars. Must have mis-read something in the past. I'm with you on the twisties. I'll take a twisty road over a dragstrip 99 times out of a 100. Now if I could pull a G accelerating, like in the twisties, we might have to re-assess that figure

Find that 8 a good home, anyone looked at it yet? or shown interest?

I know I'm easy to confuse sometimes, but I knew you said something about hubby and cars. But hey, it's all good.

Yup, I took it out for a drive to visit the temple, and took pics while I was there..

As to someone who asked what he drives otherwise... He has an X5 4.4i and his weekend car is the M3 Convertible SMG..

Won't find a better engine, for sound and smoothness, than an Italian V12. Here's a pic of my old car:
