Man... I gotta visit there sometime. Only hung around Huntington beach last time I was in SoCal but I should check out those other coastal areas in PV next time.

I think what they mean is that you should remove some of the duct tape off the reflectors and it will look better. I can see some in the first couple of pics where you are doing close up shots of the bumper.

Yeah guys definitely the lighting that's throwing your eyes off. No duct tape. The angle he shot it at just makes it seem like duct tape due to the color and black at the bottom right and top right in this pic:
