meh...im an idiot when it comes to guns...so if someone is trying to take you car, or start ****, and you shoot him...and he dies do you get introuble. or do you just shoot him in the leg or something...i understand having a gun is helpful....but i just dont get the point

 

Those are some nice pieces of plastic you have there....

 

It varies from state to state. I believe in florida there is retreat rule where you have to do everything in your power to avoid a confrontation before using deadly force (using a gun and shooting someone in the leg is still considered deadly force). otherwise its very possible that the crook can file a civil suit on you.. the law is really retarded, i know.

if legal gun owners went around shooting everyone they wouldn't be legal gun owners anymore.

you always try to gain control of the situation.. if someone car jacks me.. and i am unable to regain control of the situation even though i have my gun.. i am going to let them take the car. If i regain control of the situation then i will pull my gun (only if they are also armed) then they can decide to be killed or stay put till the authorities get to the scene.

 

i believe FL has now adopted TX trespassing law, where you can actually kill someone for being on your property or stealing your car. I believe those are the only two states with that law.
