Default Painted front side markers.......

so i ordered the blacked out side markers for my car, but alas, they were too small, i guess they only fit the 03, 04 and 05.

anyways, i tried to take the wheel well out to get at the stock ones to paint them, what a pain! i gave up and just left them on the car.

pics -

ready to go.....

first coat on......

finished product!

i used three coats of Rustoleum Paint for Plastic, let it dry and then did two coats of Rustoleum Clear Reflective Finish. it isn't 100% dry yet. the idea is to make them black since the orange stuck out like a sore thumb, but at night they should still reflect back light.

what do you guys think?

jim

i was VERY scared.......especially with my wife sitting on the porch calling me stupid, lol. but i am pretty handy with a rattle can.

Superblack350 - i ensured i didn't miss any spots, the key is in the masking job around the reflector itself.

all - thanks for the comments, i have another idea that, if executed well, will be sweet. i will keep you all posted.
