Black Z beside a new Black Neon SRT-4
My friend picked up a new Neon SRT-4 so I took a few side by side shots in the parking lot. I was surprised that the neon was about 5 inches longer than the Z.

...muuusst....droooop....neon... Seriously though, the look of the SRT-4s is definately starting to grow on me, but they definately need to be lowered a little to look just right. Once he gets used to it and past the break-in period, you guys should do a few runs an let us know how it went....

No doubt... looking at that picture makes me think "damn the Z is a nice looking car."
The Neon would be OK if I made less money, but it just doesn't work for me in that pic.

When we finally get out and run I'll let you know the results. The car feels fast but the Z feels a little faster to me. The neon did break traction very easily and doesn't have any kind of traction control.
I'm hoping to get him out on the AutoX track to see how it does. Nothing like a 3 wheelin neon rippin around the course. funny stuff.

Pleas keep us posted as you gain more experience with both cars.

You guys can knock the Neon quality, that's a given, but think of the alternative: ricers with other crappy cars. At least the SRT can back up it's performance for the $$. Just don't anyone expect ANY longevity from this car. I can't wait to see the warrantee work pile in!

SRT's
The SRT is already as fast as the Z stock. My car pool partner has one and we go head to head all the time and his car is door to door with me. He even put 18's on his car and still has great 0-60 mph.
Don't be fooled, the SRT-4's are fast, BUT they don't have any cornering abilities and Style (that's obvious) I'll take my Z anyday.
