Z Down
29 years of accident free driving, until a lady decided to blow a stoplight. The lady was in the incoming lane and hit me as I was making a left hand turn onto a freeway entrance ramp. The impact of her front passenger side headlight connected straight on my rear passenger side wheel, and managed to spin me 360 degrees. Her car was totaled, my car doesn't look bad... but I don't think my suspension and axle will ever be the same.
Flashing a light up into the wheel well revealed that parts of my suspension had impacted one another, leaving marks:
and I also saw this, but its hard to tell what that might be, I'll check it out in the morning.
My hat's off to Volk, the wheel took the brunt of the impact and didn't break (barely even bent). That being said, I am really concerned about frame damage at this point.
Edit: Yes, DNF was definitely there.

Bummer I just got my car out the shop from a accident to same exact location as yours. Cost the other drivers insurance $4900.00 and change, they had to cut out the quarter panel & weld in a new one, repaint, put on the frame machine, replaced the wheel. Once the car is on the frame machine & they can see the clamp marks then the car aint worth caca. Great body shop & the Z looks better than ever, I am getting diminished value for the damages, hoping about 5K.
Sorry about the car, are you okay???

Dang man that blows! I hope the insurance takes care of everything... If the frame is bent then i wouldn't even take the car back, I would make them get me a new 1. Just tell them you feel unsafe with a car that had a bent frame cause now its frame is weakened. That's just my 2 cents though, but from the sound of it you should be alright she should pay for it all! GOOD LUCK
