^^ Rears rolled? Shaved? Pushed out? Oh, and do the Vredestein tend to run wider or narrower, compared to Toyo T1-R and Michelin PS2?

More side pix please with this setup!

I have more pics here: https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...nc-bumper.html
but sorry I didn't take a close-up of the fender.

To answer your ?'s:

Rears are rolled. Maybe be pushed out just a bit from the fender rolling but not much if any.

The Vredestein run narrower compared to when I ran PS2 and Goodyear Eagle F-1. The sidewalls are rounder compared to those 2.

I was able to get to stock alignment with a rear camber kit without any rubbing on about 1.2" drop. Its a 295 but I think the lower profile 30 helped.

Thanks for your reply. That's exactly what I was looking for! I'm glad they run narrower, and like you said, a 295/30 helps versus 295/35 (which I think is a bit tall). I think I'll look into these tires next!

^ those look like 275 if anything. I really don't see any point running 295 tires when they look like 275's.

Here is how 295's are supposed to look like (best rear shot i've ever seen by the way):

This is GQ 350z's Z. I brightened it up a bit to better illustrate the beefiness.

Leeboy, any pics from the rear like the others have posted? Can't really admire the width from those angles. Looks good though. The sidewalls look too bulged out, even on an 11" rim. And pirelli's tread design could use some work. That's what i like about michelin - their sidewall is extended outwards slightly so that it doesn't look bulged out even on 10.5" rims.

Keep the pics coming!

Thanks guys,

I'm using the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's. Insane tire. Intense traction--but treadlife isn't amazing. However, they are really confidence inspiring. You have to see this in person to appreciate. 295/30 is great, 295/35 is a mistake.

If you want to run reasonably slammed, I DO NOT recommend the 35 series rears. The 30's are plenty bulky imho. If I was keeping the Z, my next tires were going to be 325/25/19.

Holla,
Ravi

Holla,

I have the same tire~ My tire shop guy recommended it to me over PS2... I originally went in to install PS2 295/30/19. Then he showed me the Pirelli rosso's. I initially didn't like the tread design... but the tire shop owner personally had them installed on his 997 carrera S, and I compared the side wall stiffness between the PS2 and the rosso's. To my surprise rosso's was a lot harder than PS2.

So far, I'm loving the rosso's. I had PS2 several times, and it is pretty damn grippy, but cornering performance is less than desirable.

Sorry, can't help you there, but seems like GQ's tires are exact same one as mine.. Yes, Pirelli rosso's side walls kind of bulge out more than PS2.

You have a great Z. A 325 cross section sounds amazing, I can imagine how aggressive it would look. I want to run at least 305's next. Have you seen a 325 setup or were you going to be the first? I would like to know how far out they would be from the fender.

Your car is beautiful bro. Part of the reason my car is @ Shine/Seven Apple right now, that Amuse front looks great. I was in Korea last March and seen quite a few cars that I didn't expect to see as much, Z's, Supra's, etc. Of course the last time I was there before that was in 1997.

why would you run 35 series with 265 on the front? I just can't think of a reason. Same as running 295/35/19. What's the point of all that sidewall, it only gives more flex/less steering response.

Great pics. There are still a few people who haven't posted in here and I know they are running 295 ps2 tires.
