Local Nissan saying they aren't taking responsibility for your vehicle? Maybe they shouldn't have kept it in the first place if they aren't going to take responsibility for what's going to happen. You should probably throw a big fit and talk to the manager, if not time to talk to a lawyer seriously. They have insurance for those type of incidents I'm sure.

My Z got into an accident too. Crazy thing about it...2 accidents within 2 months. Rear-ended both times. 1st was at complete stop in a 4-way. the dude wasn't paying attention. Police report showed he was reaching for his cell phone. 2nd time... i was just past the top of the overpass at an intersection. If you're from texas, its at hwy 6 n/b before crossing 290. Guy was accelerating up the hill and stopped too late. sux too, b/c my z was out 3 weeks. just got it back this past thanksgiving week. over 6k worth of damage.

damn rudy, gilbert had told me about your wreck a while back, but seeing those pictures after the break in just tops the cake. Nissan should cover that **** if not I would lawyer up. I am very surprised they didnt total it in the first place, I probably would have just told them to total it because the z will never be the same. I would have sold you my indash to you because I had the same one but I just sold it on friday. Good luck with everything bro.

If it's on their lot they are responsible, they might not want to be, but they are. Your insurance will go after them for it I am sure..
that is some shady **** man, sucks to be kicked when you're down already. if your car is not totaled out I would not allow that body shop to work on it - f' them, if they aren't going to take responsibility for the theft on their own lot then they shouldn't get your business for the repair work.

Most shops will tell you they are not responsible, but they are if it's parked on their lot. You need to get a lawyer and discuss it with them. Or even discuss it with your insurance agent, they would probably tell you the same thing.
One of our guys had the same thing happen to him when his car was at a body shop, stole everything, and they gave him the same line of bs.
