Default 3 days on the phone, 2 days with the spanner and a trackday

Having owned the 350z since last Christmas time and not being able to move it on this summer, I decided to spend a few quid on it and turn it into a more capable track car.

So as per title, a few days sourcing parts (no where had stock!) then a couple on the drive putting in some spanner time before getting it all finished for a trackday at Bedford Autodrome here in the UK.

Shopping list:

HKS Hipermax RS coilovers
Cusco Anti Roll Bars
Cusco Front Camber arms
SPC rear camber/toe kit
HKS Racing Suction Kit
Recaro seats
Sparco harness bar
Sabelt 3" 4 point harness
Goodridge Lines
Ferodo racing ds2500 pads
Scorpion exhaust
Toyo 888 255/35 F and 275/35 R
Rota GTRs silver with polished lip- 9.5J and et20 all round

Pics (not the best, sorry about that!)-

Before

Parts

Work in progress

After

On track

Some randoms

I thought the 350z was quite capable on track bar the tyres over heating pretty quick in the summer at the 'ring and too much roll in the corners....but now! Lets put it this way....quicker than the M Coupe (which is lighter and has 40bhp on the z!)

Cheers

Thanks all!

Yeah the tyres are sick...shame they wont last long lol. Going for 265 up front next time!

Install was about 2 days hard manic graft on my driveway in 5 degrees weather and getting dark at 4pm, not fun! I'd pay someone to do it but its quite satisfying diy!

paying someone to do it yields no where near the same satisfaction.

BTW are those wheels Rote P45r?
you posted Rota GTR, but they look the same as the P45R /shrug

True true.

Ah sorry, I copied and pasted my thread from the UK forum...the rims are what you guys call the P45r, in the UK they are called the GTR and we don't get the f/r option...just have to go with the 20 et to get concaveness!

Yup, its a UK company I guess.....its a pretty cheap and cheerful system tbh, was £350, I was going to go for the 5Zigen pro racer but at £1000 I thought better of it!

Very nice. I have always been a fan of the R888's but I never understood why they don't make them any wider. 285/295/305 ECT.....
