Instead of writing a useless post and wasting thread space, there is a tab at the top of EVERY thread called "Thread tools" and you can click to subscribe there.

I thought a post such as "subscribed" was to show that the person was interested in the thread and had used the thread tools to do so, not that the person posted in the thread to recall their posts at a later date. Your post was just as much a waste of space.
