I only went drag racing once with it. Helmet wasn't an issue, but that's not much of a good opinion since I've never been around a track with the car, and its just a straight line. Not much movement going on anyway.
I'm roughly 5'9".

would you say they sit any higher or lower than stock? reason i'm asking is cause with a helmet on i barely fit in my car with the stock seats. I actually have to lean the seat back a little so my head doesnt touch the roof.
did you buy the mounting brackets somewhere or did you have to get them made?

Good question. Yea, I bought Recaro rails, and the people who sourced the seat for me (Options) also got a machine shop to build the mounts. Apparently the recaro mounts give trouble???
To be honest, I never drove in the car with the stock seats. I had the seats and all the mods waiting for the car to come, so I didn't even drive it stock. I put on the seats, wheels, coilovers, LSD, intake, exhaust and bodykit at the garage after it shipped down. It's a shame cause I don't have a clue what difference anything made. Lol!

I was just looking at some close up pics of the new GTR Spec-v and the seats look like an upgraded version of my Recaro's. Now those seats look incredible!
