well its really expensive to import them, and they are already a pretty expensive car as-is. if i had that kind of money, i would just skip all the hastle and buy an NSX.

Yeah but it's not just about the car the way it is, it's about the potential. Don't get me wrong cause I love the NSX R, a lot, but the Skyline easily holds 2-3 times the potential in the aftermarket as compared to the NSX. That means for the same amount of money spent on aftermarket products you could easily get twice to three times the power/performance out of the Skyline.

It's the real thing.... but with some body mods to include..

1/ front nose and aftermarket intercooler
2/ lower side panels
3/ rear winglets on bumper

Love the GT-R... especially the R-32... classy.

Today, while driving into the city, I saw an R33 GT-R, while in the city I saw another R33 GT-R and on the way home I drove past a bright yellow R34 GT-R.
It's not every day this happens, but they're not too rare. I've seen the R34 a few times before, too.

Do they tone the engine down when they ship it over to keep everything legal and all?

IIRC, all you really need is RHD crash test results and an exhaust system that meets emissions laws. and plus like registration and whatever other stuff, but i think thats it. i could be wrong though

I definitely took Skylines for granted before I moved to the US.

I'm originally from Wollongong Australia (hour south of Sydney) On Sundays all the car enths would come down from SYdney to South Beach. I really miss the sound of an inline 6 turbo engine
Whether it be a Skyline or a VL Calais.

Never had the money to buy even a GTS Skyline, they are so cheap though. I wish I could find this in the US for about 23k [35k AUD]
