Default First time HDR

Just trying it out. Used photomatix, combined 5-6 different pictures w/ -2,-1, 0, +1, +2 exposure settings.. (Full manual, Nikon D40)
Any help appreciated. Cars are filthy, I know.

Almost thought it was the same car at first! Both are hott. I love how the sf-challenges the stock brakes covers most of the gap.

thats what i like about the sf-challenges, you dont need a BBK, stock rotors look perfectly fine with them

I think you did a great job OP. Try using a more colorful back ground next time, wild colors are fun with HDR.

Ya the SF-Challenges have an extra ridge to close the gap between wheel / brakes. Wheel style is similar to GTS, but with the extra ridge. Good stuff.
Still would be better with a BBK.

HDR takes forever but it takes out low light graininess and gives it a nice effect when not overdone..

Now on to a more colorful spot.

The Shots Came Out Great.
Cars look good!

One thing to keep in mind next time you do an HRD.

I cringed when I saw the title of the thread, I've been getting sick of HDR shots, seems like it's getting overdone and overprocessed recently. These however are very nice! Subtle, and nothing over the top. Well done!

I hate overdone pictures too.. my idea was mild HDR for better colors and better images, thats all. Thanks!

I like it... subtle but still kicks into the eyes.

Is photomatix a prog, and where can I get it? I'd love to dabble in it as well.
