Rota makes a nice quality wheel that is very affordable. Rota's are very common on 350Z's and there have been a ton of 350Z's on this forum running these wheels with great results

You can pick up an 03 car with very high miles fairly cheap, so a lot of people like the look of high end stuff but cant afford them. Theres a good size market for knock off imitation stuff. Think of the people who wear fake pradas, theres always a market for crap.
Nothing wrong with rotas as far as I'm concerned. I've never owned a set, nor do I plan to. It's just that when I first got my z it seemed to be more of a special car than it is now. The only people that seemed to rock the z either kept it stock or got higher end wheels like works or volks. And if they had body kits they were authentic or high quality poly or shine replicas. Now days I see fake *** horribly fitted kits and wheels that I only used to see on civics and integras. Owning a z used to be different. It meant being among a crowd of owners who were smarter mod decision makers who went for quality parts, emitting a sense of good style and "classy" looking cars. This used to typically differentiate z owners from cheesey highschool kid cars. It's a little sad seeing things change so much in the past couple years.
I'm not saying that having rotas makes anyones car cheesey, just noting a trend towards what I never used to see on z's.
