A local guy bought one of these (not sure which year) and did an engine/tranny swap (can't remember which ones), but man it hauls *** now. He had a stock 350z at the time and then sold it because the 240 was just so much faster.

exactly why he didnt turbo it....stock and clean will be worth more money in the long run..why throw 10k or more into the car, only to lose it shortly down the road to depreciation...OP i think you made a good call, this is exactly what im planning on doing once i sell a couple cars lol

Should have turbo'd the nismo. The S14 will be a huge money pit, and an utter waste of money. The whole silvia thing has been done to death.

Just because the whole silvia thing got way too popular doesnt mean its not a good platform! I personaly think the 240sx is one of the best cars to mod and make trackable on a budget. Its light weight / cheap / numerous engine choices/ etc... For the price of a brand new turbo kit for his HR the OP could have a reliable 400hp + motor set up easily.

Nice S14 dude, I spend like half a year looking for a nice Kouki model and eventually gave up and bought the Z. The price on z's is dropping so quick that I'll ill probably just turn mine into a drift project and get somethin else for daily.

I like have my Z as just my daily driver. Its a pretty fun and reliable car. I have a 92 240sx with an SR20 and its RHD. its a great project car. I also have a 94 Integra and I just finished installing a full race turbo kit on it. Thats now a pretty fun car as well. Both cars are great because parts are so cheap and easy to get for them.
