I'm sure you can afford another set of rims right?
After all, people dropping $3k for wheels are ballers.

I would've let him hit you as to also let his insurance take care of it instead of yours.

I'm sorry, but I just don't think the damage is all that bad.

The metal on the lip of 3 and 2 piece work rims is ULTRA soft.
This can easily be repaired. If you're on a budget, you can attempt
to repair on your own. I have a writeup on how to do so from about
a year ago.

Any credible wheel repair shop could handle this easily.

yah I've been told by friends afterwards that it's not that bad and is totally fixable. I've never had experience with this so i was just sharing some pics. I'll take it to a shop for sure

Theirs a shop here in Texas that has repaired way worse rims than yours. They only charge $145 no matter how much damage the rim sustained.

+1 on taking all four rims because they are going to have to repaint them due to the heat used to repair them. Dont know how close they will be to matching that paint though.

Since the barrel should be separated from the face of the wheel during the repair the only painting that should be done should be clearcoating the barrel after the repair.

You can do that if you want to lower the value of your vehicle, have a possible of paint matching to be off and maybe side curtain srs going off even.

All of which is covered by INSURANCE. That's why you pay for it. Ever heard of "depreciated value"?

So paint match being off is covered by your insurance? Airbags deploying could total out the car easily. Would much rather replace a barrel then go through all that trouble with insurance and driving around in a car I known has been in a wreck before.

that looks bad, but i've seen worse.
you don't need to replace barrels, just have a local high-end wheel shop sand down and polish edges.
i curbed my vs-xx too a while back. imagine the curb was a peeler and my lip was a fruit. when i saw the damage, there was a long piece of metal still attached to the lip

Paint match being off is the result of a crappy collision center. A good one will fix it if it's truly off.

welcome to the club! My Volk GTF was curbed 2 weeks ago due to negligent chick driving while texting and almost hit me. Had to swerved to dodge a head on collision!!! I curbed both front and back rims.

I heard this company is really good (http://wheelsamerica.com/) and you can schedule for a mobile repair. Check out their gallery!!
