This will be my final external modification and I wanted to get some opinions on the color since Im torn on either. Im also going to be getting a different hood. Something along the lines of SEIBON Carbon Fiber Hood TS 07+ hood style. Some pretty certain the hood will be 07+ with horizontal vents on the sides just not sure which one.

Youll also notice those little eye lids on the lights, those will probably be put on as well..not sure of the method Ill go about getting it done though.

 

I think you need some more black on your Z.

+1 on the hood -1 on the eyelids.

Maybe black out the,
-headlights
-reflectors
-and some light smoked tint on the LED tails.

^Your car will be pure win after that.

 

thats a sure thing...the reflectors are getting blacked out...I may unhouse the front lights and black out that amber strip...or white it out...The Rears are gonna get a black out where the red is on them. Im just scared of the black because its attraction to swirl marks and scratches.

Id love 06+ headlights but the damn things are at least $1k

 

I think you should keep it clean and leave the hood white. Black out the headlights (just the outer chrome housing piece part that comes off) and DONT black out the tail lights.

And I'd like to add something to my previous post I think you should paint the hood white and do some crazy fading with the CF.

 

leave it white, black out headlights...then it will be perfect...imo

leave the hood alone, get a set of 06+ headlights and paint that black.

thanks for all the feedback guys...sadly its making it more difficult with all these ideas lol.

Good news though, the pin stripe is on as of this morning. The vinyl guy put them on around 9am. I ordered my own but the gold was to saturated and didnt really match the rim, the shops gold matched perfectly and it was only $40 so it was cheap and worth it.

I honestly wouldnt over-do it with the black hood. Just me though.

 

johzp: LOL, I love that drop...the lower the better in my opinion. Theres NO WAY I could do that though, I already bottom out usually once a day due to the front bumper. Its my daily driver so I have to be some what conservative

 

Heres the exact hood Im looking at...sadly the guy selling it hasnt logged for 3 months and has no Itrader record so I will have to find it new...

1. Gold pinstripe on the wheels (I can give you a website that sells the actual removable ring that goes around the lip)
2. Blackout the inner part of your headlights along with the clear reflector instead of orange
3. That hood looks sick! Do it

Don't blackout anything other than the front bumper reflectors!

 

As long as you don't rice it out with eyelids then you're set. I'de say 08 hump hood in CF with vents, kind of like Kal_el has.

 

I like it with the carbon fiber hood, maybe just because im use to seeing my white z with the 07-08 seibon hood.
