such a ridiculous price for center caps, thought about getting them for my HRE's but simply could not justify the price.

LOL! I don't think I can get that deal again. I was REALLY taken care of on that set. Actually one of the snap rings broke and HRE sent a new ring out immediately. No questions asked. Don't think the same would go for the whole cap or cap set.

That is the second thing I hated the most about my Meisters. I actually sparyed a coat of black rustoleum on my hubs. First thing I hated was cleaning the brake dust and road grim from the hardware.

yeah... them rivet screws are no joke to clean. every time i wash my car my hand loses a finger i think. i'm going to try your idea of painting the hub. i realized how ugly and noticeable the rust is on the hub during a show i entered.

Clean the hub real good and use Rustoleum.

I got so tired of cleaning those rivets I went to a monoblock.

What I use now... http://www.detailedimage.com/DI-Micr...ash-Mitt-P608/

I wrote HRE and they stated not to use any special chemicals. Just a good car wash soap and water.
