What's wrong with civics? I think civics are pretty cool.

Correct ^ Seibon TS 07-08. Fits 04 great! Came on the car when purchased.

See attached pictures... The clear coat seems to be cracking off on the corners and edges. Also there is a small crack on one of the vents. I would like to paint this to match the color but affraid of how it will hold up. Any suggestions? Paint it or eventually buy a new one?

Actually it looks like the gel coat (not clear coat) is cracking off.

Fixeable or good to just paint over? Or is this always going to be a problem.

Bmurray makes it sound easy

well whoever paints it will obviously have to sand it or whatever so it should be fine, right?

From the pics it looks like the gel coat is separating at the edges which would be a lot of work to fix. You're looking at more work than sanding and reclearing... you may put more work into the hood than its worth in the end.

I'm a body tech and have worked WONDERS with cf faded hoods. But gel coat cracks as shown could be bad or simple to fix. The lil crack pictured will be fine once base and clear is put on it. May need a lil wet sand and buff to knock off a clear cost edge but where the edge if the hood gel cost is coming off?... You'll be fine as long as the edge doesn't hit anymore and make the edge completely crack off. I say just bring it to a good paint shop and tell them to sand it, not scuff, and you'll be fine. I'd get rid of those eye lids for they could ruin your hood.

Thank-you.

The hood edges do not rub on anything ... I will be getting rid of the eyelids once I restore my headlights.

Well it's a very close gap which is why the edges a damaged in that area. Or u could try adjusting the hood pulling it more toward the windshield. But watch the fenders. The hoods like to rub the fenders when opening
