Still a peppy engine I'm sure. We got my girlfriend a 4-door 2009 GTI, which is the 2.0 turbo so probably a little more spritely, but I must say I am constantly impressed by the smooth and quick power delivery.

I would consider getting one of the new Golf R 4-doors, if only it was $8k or so less expensive.

Thanks! I really like it. The 1.8t is a pretty stout motor. Chip it (higher boost), diverter valve, intake, and exhaust, and you can keep up with a stock DE z.

Thanks Andrew I really like the look of the r32's stock as well. Everything is fully repainted, he did a few subtle changes to the exterior while keeping it mostly stock. He also added OEM HID's to the car that come on the euro r32's it really brings the car together, since the only thing the car was really missing was HID's.

I'm honestly now sure yet, seems the middle of the hood needs to come down some, but it's already contacting my strut bar. I'm going to take it to a body shop and see what they say. Hopefully I can get it more flush.

I really want to sell the hood, get a OEM and cut vents for a perfect fit

I like the oem Nismo cut outs, just can't bring myself to cut my hood
Maybe an extra Chrome Silver hood is in my future

I'm going out in a limb and guessing you have an 07/08? That hood is for the 03-06.

Good eye

I'm hesitant to cut up a hood, but I just need to find a body shop I trust, which I think I have
I've seen a couple Z that had it done at Zdayz and it looks great!

Hmmm, I'm confused as to why it doesn't fit.

Whitened the wheels on the DD today. White plastidip for now, just an inexpensive interim solution to see if I really like the white. So far so good....might consider having them pc'd white at some point.

Yeah I don't really know if the hood is thicker than stock, but one of the supports undernearth is in contact with the sway bar. I'm wondering if I should cut out a hole in the cross piece?

I wonder how much that would effect the hood, I wouldn't think much
