Thanks man, sometimes I wonder what your purple TE's would look like on my car. Love the purple color.

Since I got my car back a few days ago, I thought i'd update this thread and bring it back from the dead. Recently purchased a few things...

-Works Bell Short Boss/Hub
-Works Bell Quick Release
-350mm Deep Corn Wood Nardi (with black spokes)
-JPM Coachworks alcantara shift boot (with black stitching)

As I know this is worthless without pics... I will snap some pics soon after I get the steering wheel installed.

Welcome back! Very curious to see how that wheel looks inside the Z. Are you running the stock shift ****?

You put other people with 06 black Z's (like myself) to shame with your setup. All you're missing is a FI kit and even that really isn't that big of a deal. I love the setup. I'm hoping to get an Mrev2, spacer and intake and a front lip for my ride this year. I love your wheels and your stance.

Me and you both! The wheel is mahogany which is darker and feels really nice. I got the black quick release so if the wood is really that bad i'll go with my original idea of the perforated leather deep corn Nardi.

I have the Tommykaira Hebi Bebi. The guys at JPM made the shift boot so it looks more "finished", which means it has a folded in edge at the top. After changing it out, I think it looks much better than the OEM one.

Thanks man, it's nice to know someone appreciates it. I would say I just make more impulsive purchases than some other owners lol.

Good choice on the MREV2 and Spacer. With the Uprev tune you can really feel the difference. Ever since I got the car i've been dreaming of the Greddy twin turbo, maybe someday.

Also your signature says your Z is Super Black, but from my understanding all 06's were Magnetic Black. Did you have it resprayed?

I need to change that. When I first looked up my paint code I was almost positive it said Black pearl but when I posted about it here everyone said it was super black or magnetic black. When I went to make my sig I just put super black. I should just change it to black.

Safest bet is to call it G41, which is Nissan's color code. Otherwise I've seen it called Magnetic Black, Magnetic Black Pearl, Black Metallic, etc. The reason I bring it up is that years ago I had some body kit parts painted to match my car (G41), but when I picked the parts up I noticed they were straight gloss black (likely KH3 "Super Black"). This happened in late 2006. I think the shop looked at the car and said "ah ok, a black 350z. That's Nissan code KH3" and didn't actually look at the sticker in the door jam to get the proper color code (or look too closely at the body of the car for that matter). Maybe it was the first black 350z they had sprayed after the 2005 model year, who knows. Anyway that's why I'm a bit sensitive to using anything other than the manufacturer's color code when it comes down to it.

Yeah, I just looked at my car specs on the inside of the driver door and it's a G41. I also saw that my car was manufacutred in 02/06 so idk if that means it has or doesn't have oil consumption problems but after 2 years of owning it I've never had any problems.

It's always a good feeling driving the Z after being stored for so long, it never gets old!

Here are some random pics from the last few days. Still learning this fancy camera

Thanks, the crazy amount of pollen lately has been making me wash it more frequently, it's kind of annoying haha.

I love your ride but I'm not sure that wood steering wheel is the best for your Z. I feel like it kind of clashes with the rest of your interior

I hear you, I knew it wasn't the most conventional choice. I think it looks more "at home" in person.

I got the black Rapfix II QR so I could test out a few different steering wheels until I finally know what I'm doing with the interior.

I'm thinking about going for a black themed interior with Bride seats, also getting rid of the silver accents and redoing some pieces with alcantara.
