here is the latest update to my build.

Samberg Mounting kit

And here are the pics from the motor pick up. It was cool because it was from a dismantler and the car was running. I was able to see it start, idle and rev to make sure everything was good. He said to come back in 2 hours and it’ll be ready so we went and picked up some breakfast. Came back and it was dropped into the back of the truck and we were on our way. I couldn’t be happier right now. Gotta clean up the engine bay and prep it for paint.

and a picture because I was bored..

For more pictures and details... please check the build blog pohttp://rrydes.com/2012/04/rx7-blasphemy-swap-part-3/st here

very long overdue! Finally had a free weekend away from carshows and family stuff! I was able to pickup my harness from Ronin Speedworks and my buddy helped me with cutting the lip on the firewall of the FD off. With the LS1, you'll need to do this but on the other motors, I believe that this isn't needed. I decided to cut the entire center protrusion area out instead of just the area needed. My friend Randy from R-Rydes was the one that actually did the cutting since I don't trust my hands with something like this. Now i'll have to get a bead welded along the cut so that it doesn't separate and leave exposed metal.

I also picked up some new Superpro Diff Bushings from J-Auto. I thought it would be a good time to change this out since i'll be down there anyway. Juan helped me out picking out the right brand and he even had them in stock so no waiting! Thanks again Carlos!

Here's a quick picture that I took at the beginning. I'll have some more updates soon!

huh??? The idea of LS swapping it was always there since the day I bought the car. Decided to pull the trigger while everything on the car was in good running order so I could sell and keep the costs down (relatively)

I have long tube headers and no cat on it, just the exhaust. I have exhaust manifolds and cats from a ZL1 that I can put on and some other things I'll need to do to switch out if I ever want to do that.

i thought originally, you was just thinking about it but you wanted to keep the rotary. or was the ls swap always part of the plan?

at any rate, car looks clean and the engine is nice, would have to put on my bucket list if i can even find a stock fd when im ready to go on this grand adventure. everyone is swapping like crazy that soon, no one will even know what a rotary is
