nice, I'm a big fan of the MKIV supra's. don't see a lot of folks modding the NA's too much though. Any plans to go FI? How does it compare to the Z?

thanks dikspiel!!!

G4nismo....well it's a Supra but you really feel the lack of power compared to the 350Z ! my Supra was dynod at 192rwhp not really much for such a heavy car, but still it's fun to drive it around. i still need to do a lot on it....mainly suspension, but ever since i installed the new coilovers it handles a lot better. as for engine i will prob. keep it NA (absolut a big fan of NA engines). already ordered a used cylinder head and a oem intake manifold...mainly for the lower runner....can you guess where this is heading ??

not too sure if you guys would like a Supra build thread over here on my350z.com , so i will prob. just put the pics up in this thread, since there's nothing special going on with the 350Z right at the moment.

just for a quick update on the Z: i had to order some more carbon fiber and resin to finish off the last piece of the trunk/hatch covers. hopefully things will arrive by the end of this week so i can move on with the last piece and then get everything clear coated and installed!!

also last week my spare cylinder head for my Supra showed up (finally!!!! after 3 weeks)

unmounted the cam shafts and the free spark plugs now i need to get the valves out and get this baby to a machine shop to get rid of all the dirt and oil.

finally had some more time to finish off the carbon fiber interior parts for the 350.
they came out pretty nice IMO....really can't wait to put them back in the car.

it'll be most def. weird to have them back on i think i removed them a couple weeks after i got the car in `05 (for removing the rear wiper) and never installed them back on

sorry for the crappy cell phone pic!!! really need to get my camera out and do some shots in the sun light! so stay tuned.

finally had some time to take some day light pics of one of the parts. now you should be able to see the carbon more clear.

and another one closer to the carbon. this is btw just the raw carbon fiber with just some clear coat one it. didn't had the time to wet sand it and polish it.....again on the other hand these parts came out pretty nice (IMO), not sure if i'll do it after all.

@kno: thx bro it's actually real carbon fiber wrapped around the OEM plastic parts.
i just ordered some carbon fabric back in the winter and did this over the winter time was quiet some fun.at the beginning it was a bit tricky, since i didn't do this for quiet some time. already thinking about which part i could do next

@rustyschopshop: thx man!

Came out very nice. I spent a good time last summer covering some parts too. Still have some stuff sitting around sanded and ready to wrap. The more you do it the better you get.

nice beezee! and yes the first part came out "ok" (for my standards) but then it got better and better. not sure when i did my last cf piece before these, but must be quiet some years :P really had to "learn" it again.

btw. i'm lately playing with the thought about getting rid of the VOLK GT-S wheels and buy something more different, more easy to clean (getting older and more lazy with this stuff). so i thought about getting a set of the new VOLK ZE40 once i sold the GT-S.
did a quick photoshop. let me know what you guys think about this.

think so too dikspiel i'm just a bit worried at the moment about the caliper clearance i have the big StopTechs on and since Volk isn't even clear whether they clear the OEM Brembos i guess i'm not buying them right now.
it's such a shame that they aren't offering 19" wheels anymore.....all the good wheels are now only in 18" (which is no bad thing, but i need 19" wheels because of street legal stuff over here in germany)

5mm spacer should be fine if its tight.
