Im into aggressive stanced cars, even poke and pushing the limits etc. But it has turned into a hello kitty "look at me" scene. Back then it was, aggressive wheels and slammed Z's and thats it. Now its who can have the most colors from the rainbow on your Z and stickers are cool! Pink wheels with green lip + purple interior + gucci headliner + leopord skin shift boot And they think it's okay bcs the term "hater" has become a trendy word that it's somewhat "cool" to be hated on. Idk i guess i dont like where its heading to, but hey who am i to judge

I post a little on there. I'm mostly a lurker on e46fanatics and m3forums, though. I'll hit you when I see you on there.

Which porsche chassis you looking at? I'd love a 997 Turbo or gt3, unfortunately those are the only porsches i'd consider owning.

oh... thought that was yours

i'm guessing you're a little bit away from that.

i've had my eye on a lot of salvage stuff... these things
get totaled super thin. light front hits, side hits, etc...
we'll see. i'm just not intrigued by the 370z

Yea same here, i thought about upgrading from my 350 to a 370 but for the money you spend, its just not worth the money. 350 to a 370 to me isnt much of a jump, and i already see a lot of 370's around town.

yea i saw that, thats the car i posted couple post back. Looks great, but idk if i want to go with too much poke with this car

Im going for something more along this, slammed with aggressive wheels. And if you look closely, it has more than just wheels and drop

thanks, dont be ashamed Z is a great car. It's just been given a bad image due to cheapo owners. One suggestion is to save, don't half *** your car. Try to put the best stuff to the car. And remember, stock > cheap aftermarket

Awesome buy, funny cuz I'm looking for a arctic white m3 at the moment. But I plan on keeping both my z and the m as a clean daily. Looks good, yea and kenesis wheels are baller. You plan on doing any exterior mods?

i sold the kinesis wheels actually, i prefer to stay oem with the M3. As for exterior mods, no plans to change it. as of now I want to do...

1. Coilovers - Im leaning towards BC coilovers for this car. I can go real low without sacrificing ride comfort. I wont go too low either like i did with my Z, but i'd like have 0 wheel gap. I was going to go with KW V2, but for the ride height i want i'd be losing too much daily driveability. Plus i never track my car.
2. OEM tail lights - $600 so i need to save now lol
3. 15% window and 50% windshield tint - gives the car a more uniform look
4. Factory trunk lip - Mine doesnt have it, still debating if i even want it. Will make the rear look more aggressive
5. Polished rolled exhaust tips - Dont plan on going aftermarket mufflers, but i want to change out the dull, microscopic factory tips. Will compliment the blingy wheels/grill/gills.

Coilovers wont cause any subframe issues down the road? Ive wanted the M3 for years but so weary to make the change.

hmm, the car looks very boring. For such an older car/bodystyle, i think something drastic would make it look meaner. Maybe some lightweight race wheels with good offsets and a bit lower.

^^^

agreed

One of my Z guys love BMW...I just don't get it! No styling cues that makes me want it...

Power/Performance not gonna argue there...shiet moves...just takes alot to get to the "sportscar" look that most think of i.e. two door/two seats...

I know OP is gonna come through with the style no doubt!

i think that boosted white M3 looks like a flawless streetcar. i can definitely see you pulling off that look even with the oem wheels and not the BBS. i spy a cage in that one as well.
